Household Hazardous Collection Event

Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  at The City of Bainbridge Island Operations Maintenance Facility

7305 NE Hidden Cove Road, Bainbridge Island, WA

This free, one-day event for Kitsap County residents  is limited to household products. Event staff cannot accept waste from businesses or other non-household organizations.

What to bring:

  • oil-based paints and stains
  • adhesivs
  • aerosols
  • paint thinners
  • corrosive cleaners
  • lawn and garden chemicals
  • pool and spa chemicals

Not accepted:

  • No latex paint. It is not hazardous and can be solidified with kitty litter or cement mix before disposing in the garbage.
  • No products with local recycling options (search for options):
    • motor oil and antifreeze
    • fluorescent light bulbs and tubes
    • household and vehicle batteries
    • propane tanks
  • No empty containers
