Mold

(Last Updated: 1/16/2019)

Mold contamination resulting from wet conditions can be a serious health concern. Mold growth is encouraged by warm and humid conditions.

For more information on dealing with mold in your home, see the WA Department of Health's fact sheets, "Renters, Landlords, and Mold" and "Mold-Fact Sheet."

Disposal
Dispose as garbage. Seal moldy items in a trash bag. Bring outdoors and place in your garbage cart or bring to a drop-off facility right away.

If you renovate an area of your home with mold damage, the debris is considered demolition waste. Learn about how to dispose of demolition waste.
