Appliances - Small Household | (Last Updated: 8/18/2021) | Includes microwaves, blenders, coffee pots, crock pots, mixers, irons, tea kettles, toasters, toaster ovens, humidifiers, and other similar appliances. Appliances that refrigerate (fridges, freezers, air conditioners, heat pumps, dehumidifers, water coolers) contain hazardous chemicals and must be taken to a large appliance drop-off site. | Recycle | Mostly-Metal Small Appliances If your small appliance is mostly metal, such as microwaves and toasters, you can recycle it at a scrap metal collection site. Mostly-Plastic Small Appliances There are only a few local options for recycling small, mostly-plastic appliances: Bainbridge Island Transfer Station accepts "anything with a cord" for recycling (fees apply). Best Buy stores accept stick vaccuums, fans, robot vacuums, and upright/canister vacuums for recycling. |
