Gift Wrapping

Not recyclable:  Gift bags, shiny or glossy wrapping paper, ribbons, tissue paper, and bows.

Recyclable: Flat (not balled up) non-shiny wrapping paper.


Recycle

​Before you recycle, remove all bows and ribbons. Flatten paper. Shiny paper with glitter or foil belongs in the trash.


Reuse

Reuse gift bags, paper, bows, ribbon, and tissue paper when possible. Buy reusable gift tins, gift bags, or basket from second hand stores.


Rethink

Make gift wrap a part of the gift. Use a pillowcase, tea towel, scarf, or reusable shopping bag to wrap up your gift. Try using a wrapping cloth in the Japanese-style.
