Recycle

Drop off at a Kitsap County waste facility.

Kitsap County Waste Facilities charge a recycling fee. Customers must transport and unload the item themselves. Remove food and garbage from appliances before bringing to a facility. No commercial appliances are accepted, even if they were used in a home.

Hire a haul-away service.

Drop off at a private scrap metal recycler.

Many metal recyclers accept non-refrigerating appliances for free but charge a small fee for recycling refrigerating appliances. The fee helps the business offset the cost of disposing of the hazardous chemicals (CFCs) inside fridges, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and water coolers.

Information is for households only. Learn more with our Business Disposal and Recycling Guide.
