Wearing protective gloves, place the dry ice in a well-ventilated container. Take the container outside where small children and pets cannot access it. Let it sublimate away (change from solid to gas). 

Never place dry ice in a sewers, sinks, garbage disposal, or toilet. Never place dry ice in the garbage or recycling.
