If you books can't be donated, you can recycle them. Remove and dispose of hard covers before recycling the pages. Recyclables must be loose (not bagged).
Give away, sell, or donate good condition books.
Kitsap Regional Library (KRL) recommends calling your local branch before bringing in donations. If books are newer, they may be taken into the library collection. Otherwise, books will be sold to generate revenue for KRL.
You can find "Discover Books" book collection boxes in many business parking lots. Discover books resells, redistributes, or recycles donated books. Use the website below to find a box.
Wet or moldy books should be disposed as garbage.
Consider hosting a Little Free Library (external website) in your neighborhood!
