Take uncontaminated motor oil and oil filters to a recycling location below. Free recycling is available for oil from personal vehicles only.
AUTO STORES: Contact a local auto service or parts store to ask about motor oil and filter recycling. Verify accepted items, hours, and fees.
KITSAP COUNTY GARBAGE AND RECYCLING FACILITIES, OLYMPIC VIEW TRANSFER STATION: Free residential disposal. 5-gallon limit for used motor oil. Customers must know the source of their oil and sign a declaration form stating the oil contains no contaminants other than those occuring during normal vehicle use.
KITSAP COUNTY HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY: Free residential disposal. Accepts amounts greater than 5 gallons.Containers over 5-gallons in size cannot be returned.
Make an appointment if you have large amounts from a home (larger than 5 gallon containers, loads over 50 gallons total, or more than 50 containers).
