Styrofoam™ blocks cannot be recycled in your curbside recycling because they easily break apart. However, you can recycle clean and dry Styrofoam blocks at one of the drop-off recycling sites below.
If you can't take foam to a drop-off recycle site, please put it in the garbage.
Styro Recycle in Kent accepts clean, dry foam free of all tape and labels.
Seasonal Collection Events
Bay Hay & Feed on Bainbridge Island holds semi-annual Styrofoam collection events. Visit Sustainable Bainbridge for details.
Kitsap County Solid Waste Division hosts two Styrofoam collection events each year, in the summer and after Christmas. See upcoming events.
Contact a local shipping store or the Bremerton Bug Museum and Nature Store to ask if they can reuse your chunks of foam or packing peanuts.
